Sándor Tarics is a champion

by Winni Wintermeyer on June 21, 2012

Portrait of Sándor Tarics

Favorite thing about my job is the people I get to meet. At 98, Sándor Tarics is the oldest living Olympic champion. In 1936 he won a gold medal with the Hungarian water polo team in Munich, when that looney dictator was in power. At a young age he moved to San Francisco where he worked as an engineer and architect. Still in excellent shape, with a sharp mind he has stories to share.
